at Thomi's Banquet Room in Jackson

We are pleased to announce that the Speaker for February will be

Dr. Ami Bera, Congressional Candidate for California's Third District

This is an open meeting. Spouses and Friends are welcome to attend.

The buffet luncheon is $15.00 which includes

entree, salad, vegetarian offering, various drinks, coffee,

tea, dessert, tax and tip.

Cash or checks made payable to Thomi's are payable at the door.

    The Progressive Women's Committee is a monthly luncheon group that is in its fifth year. Originally started with some volunteers from the 2004 campaign, who wanted a place to meet and talk, without the person next to her having voted for GWB.  We've loosened up a little since those early days and now we welcome all progressive women who are interested in local issues as well as those on a state or national level.

   Members are as diverse as the issues we raise:  local business women. community activists, retirees, and interested residents. Often, we have a speaker, and other months we have sort of round table discussion on whatever interests us at that time. Occasionally, we will have an open meeting for a special speaker, to include spouses or friends.

   Please come and join in the fun.  At this time we have no dues or officers, but occasionally we will take a simple vote of those present, if we want to make a statement on a local issue.  We generally meet on the first Thursday of each month.
