"The Ox Herder": An original play by Linda James Hein
Produced and Directed by Monica MacLean
Weekend performance dates run from June 20 through July 13
Sutter Creek Theater
44 Main Street, Sutter Creek
This is the first play by playwright Linda James Hein, and we can only hope for many more to come!
Laura, a young woman in her twenties, is a court reporter in a high-profile death-penalty case. As she struggles with post traumatic stress syndrome, every aspect of her life becomes riddled with panic and unreasonable fears. Seeking a solution for her state of mind, she begins a unique relationship with Gerald. His wise and healing approach to life allows Laura to discover some simple, yet very practical methods to begin her healing process and deepen the meaning of her life.
This play is an intellectual jewel, which allows many levels of humanity to unfold before our eyes. Audiences will laugh and cry and join in this intimate journey from darkness to light. "A must see American treasure."
